In speaking to Adriana this week things are going fairly well. Eric has figured out a way to have one of his services to be at the same time as family visits are held. This has expanded the ministry not only to the inmates but also to their entire families. A lot of learning and healing of relationships has taken place. God continues to do mighty things in this prison.
The man that is being held in the depths of the prison is not doing well. The guards are treating him terrible and his one hour of sunlight has been revoked. Eric has been given permission to go down and see him and is also trying to provide him with food. I sent down extra money this week to help in this great need for him. He has one small light bulb so we are getting this man some reading materials. Eric has asked for prayer for him; 1. that he would receive better treatment. 2. That he would be transferred to another prison. 3. That we can continue to get food down to him.
We were given permission this week to send in reading materials. We have purchased 50 Bibles, 10 books of John, 11 DVDs and over 100 tracks that will all be delivered this next week for Eric to use throughout the prison. This is not much for a population of 2,000 men but we hope to send more in the coming weeks. Our hope is the Bible will be shared in cells around the facility.
This coming week the attorney will do some maneuvering in the courts to try and get Eric's release secured in the next month. Eric's spirits continue to be good and he and Adriana send their love and thanks to all.
Pastor Daniel continues to do well but still has not got to see a judge. So he still sets waiting for a court date. Please continue to pray for him.
Eric and Adriana's daughter that was expecting just had a healthy baby girl, yet to be named as I spoke with them. They took her by cesarean so now Adriana has a new baby and the mother at her home to take care of with all of her duties.
