Greetings,
This week shows no progress on the release of Eric or Daniel, but prayer is moving things along and God continues to show Himself in all of this.
The doctor that we are waiting on to write the summary letter has stalled everything until January. But Adriana was able to meet with the Judge and he has allowed another doctor to furnish us with the needed papers. So Adriana is starting that entire process all over again. That is good news but tons of work for her. Last week Eric was given a "Commendation Award" by the officials at the prison. This was for his outstanding service to the facility and the changes he has made in the lives of the men and their actions. I'm sure Eric quickly told everyone Who had made the changes in their lives! God continues to use Eric in a mighty way. He has now started working in the youth area of the prison and is making great progress with the teens.
Also, a note on the three men that we had rescued to come live in Eric's cell; this week one of the men was transferred to the elderly area of the prison because of health issues. Eric has made sure he is safe and being watched over. This man will now take the Word and all of the teaching that he has learned from his time with Eric; now God will be represented in another part of the prison. Another of the 3 men was transferred to Mexico's Alcatraz this week, which normally is a one-way ticket. So, some of our Bibles and materials will end up on that island. This man, who is really on fire for the Lord, will be feeding many men with God's Word the rest of his life. I have a Pastor friend that is allowed to go out to the island once a year by the government, so I hope to keep track of this man and get materials to him. The third man remains with Eric in the cell. Eric filled the vacancy in his cell with two men that had just accepted the Lord a few weeks ago and Eric felt they needed more one-on-one time. When you stop and ponder all of this, it is amazing to see how God has multiplied the work and how His plan has unfolded before our eyes.
We found out this week that Pastor Daniel is still doing fairly well. He is being allowed to use the testimonies from Eric's trials in his defense. so that means he could be released months earlier than we anticipated.
This week we are sending down many more Bibles, study materials, Bible study programs and much needed clothing for the cold weather and harsh living conditions. We were also able to send more DVDs that we are making just for a prison situation. They have been very helpful to the work there.
Please continue to pray for Eric, Adriana, Daniel and the many men that are now involved in the ministry there. Pray for the teens as they hear God's Word for the first time and also now have someone to listen to them. We thank each of you for your involvement in the ministry and all that God is doing through IGM in many areas of outreach in Mexico. We greatly appreciate all of the financial help and prayers for Eric and Adriana as we meet their needs.
